Children spend a great deal of their waking hours with their teachers, and teachers get to know kids -- both groups and individuals -- better than just about anyone. Educators see first hand that children need academic skills for success in the world, but there is also a growing awareness that in order to secure a healthy future, children's bodies need exercise as well as their minds.

Long Live Kids is an engaging educational program that takes the complex issue of childhood obesity and works to find kid-friendly solutions through helping children understand that a healthy lifestyle comes when you "eat smart, move more and be media wise." With a comprehensive curriculum for children in Kindergarten to Grade 8 that adheres to existing curriculum guidelines, teachers can blend Long Live Kids seamlessly into their classroom days while meeting provincial requirements.

Long Live Kids is a one-of-a-kind Canadian program that brings together industry, government and issue experts and community organizations to develop and deliver one important part of the solution to troubling statistics about children's health. Long Live Kids is an initiative of Concerned Children's Advertisers, the producers of the Canada-wide TV&ME media literacy education program and 15 years of television social messaging on issues of challenge in children's lives.

We invite you to take a look at our Long Live Kids curriculum, to print it and to use it with the children in your school. To view the material, you will need Adobe Acrobat. To order the Long Live Kids program on CD ROM, or to request a Long Live Kids workshop with CCA's Vice President of Education, Linda Millar, please e-mail us at , or call the Concerned Children's Advertisers office at 416-484-0871.

We hope you and your students will enjoy Long Live Kids!
